Bentley OpenUtilities CONNECT Edition Help

Text Properties

Internal Name, GIS Database, and GIS Table are required fields on the Properties page.

Settings Description

Internal Name

A unique identifier for the feature type and the name of an Oracle table in the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer database. The text string, which is limited to 26 characters, should be entered without spaces or special characters. The internal name of a feature type appears only in the data tables whereas its display name appears in the Feature Type Tree and the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer user interface. The display name is entered when the new feature type is created (see Creating Feature Types). Note: Changes to this field require corresponding changes to Oracle tables. Contact your DBA.

GIS Database

The name of the GIS database where the table for the feature type is stored.

GIS Table

The name of the GIS table that stores information about the feature type. If the GIS Table is a duplicate of another feature type GIS Table, the Distinguishing Attribute information will be required. If a corresponding table does not exist in the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer database, an error message will be displayed.
